Book Three– The Rules of Hospitality
Book Threee- The Rules of Hospitality
Uncategorized | Comment (1)Old Friends
They can be hard to deal with, knowing your past problems
They can be difficult in accepting change, knowing all your secrets
They can be stubborn, always looking at who you were
Instead of who you are
Only focusing on things in the past
Never looking into the future
But they listen to what you have to say
Even if they don’t want to
They make it easy to fight with them,
because their like your family
They nag you about who you like and dislike
They tell you what they think
No matter how harsh the true really is
My old friends are part of who I am
no matter if I want them there or not
They are the ones who got me through rough times
They will always be part of my life
All of us together again
A reunion of three years
Even though some things have changed
And inside jokes are lost
They know me through and through
Like I am their favorite nursery rhyme
Without looking, they can read me from the heart.
